The enemy of my enemy is my friend. One of the alleged victims of Evolve Construction is the Thompson family. On March 5th, 2026, Clarksville Now published a story about the Thompson family hiring Evolve Construction in January 2025 to repair their roof. They claim that Evolve ghosted them. Evolve threatened to sue The Thompsons for breach of contract and defamation. This is the second time I have heard about Evolve threatening to sue over breach of contract. Ryan filed complaints with the Clarksville Police Department, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, the FTC, Tennessee Consumer Affairs, and the National Insurance Crime Bureau. The day after this story aired, a new CEO was listed for Evolve.
Former Evolve employee Chris Ghist, who is currently one of 21 former employees and a former vendor, is being sued by Evolve and is now blowing the whistle. Chris claims he was receiving phone calls from his clients seeking updates on their projects. Evolve issued a statement refuting that 40 to 50 roofs were delayed.
The Thompsons are not alone. The Cherry’s, who Chris signed up, are also claiming that Evolve hasn’t performed the work on their roof. The Cherry’s entered into a contract with Evolve in December 2024. There is a third unnamed person who filed a complaint with Evolve.
Chris joined several others who are collectively being sued by Evolve and joined Roofing Insights. One of the former employees claims that he was notified by police that he was a person of interest in a criminal investigation. Their stories seem to corroborate those of alleged victims. There are 66 people in Florida claiming to be victims of Evolve. Aleksandr Guldshadt is being sued in California. He is the CEO of Nationwide Insurance Claims Advocates. Aleksandr was listed as the CEO for Evolve, or has had an interest in the company.
If you had a bad experience with Evolve Construction, please file a complaint with your local police department and with your State Attorney General’s office. Let them know about the complaints and investigations in other states.
